Confirm the model, not just the label
Before booking, request the proposed model and specification sheet showing entrance, door, turning space, fixture clearances, and grab bars. Ask for accessibility documentation and review the planned location. A wide-looking unit in a photograph is not enough to confirm the setup.
Plan the route before the truck arrives
Choose a firm surface connected to the guest area by an accessible route. Include the entrance landing and door maneuvering space in the site plan. For Lancaster sites with loose sand or gravel, explain the surface before delivery so the placement can be reviewed.
How many accessible units?
The U.S. Access Board explains access requirements for at least 5% of portable units in each cluster where the rule applies. As a planning example, one compliant unit in a cluster of ten meets that proportion; two are needed in a cluster of thirty. Confirm the full site requirements with the event authority, including California requirements and the route to each cluster.
